With quarantine and lockdown, doing certain things have become difficult. We cannot enjoy going out and watching a great baseball game. In some instances, the games have been canceled or postponed. Luckily, some games have started up again and we can at least watch them on television.
However, we know watching LeBron on TV is not the same as being there. We have some tips for how you can make watching the game at home fun and enjoyable.
Put on your favorite over-sized team jersey and sweats. Forget about shoes. Sit on your super comfy couch in front of your flatscreen and you are ready. If it is wintertime, start a fire to get some heat and atmosphere. You will never be quite this comfortable at a stadium.
Get the right food and drink
Everyone has their favorite stadium food. The stadium food is one of the highlights of going to a game. For some people, food is the only reason they go to a game. Recreate your favorites at home or order in from your local spots. The presence of chicken wings, hot dogs, fries, beer, pretzels, and sandwiches will make you feel like you are missing nothing.
The right people
Another thing that we miss about going to games is the people. Watching a game alone feels a bit wrong. However, invite one or two friends to watch with you or get the family together for the event. If you do end up watching alone, arrange with your friends to do a call or message whenever something big happens.
Remember to stretch
With the comfy clothes and couch and the good food, you will likely stay in your seat for the whole game. However, get up during break times and stretch your legs. This will help you stay focused throughout the game. You do not want to miss the epic moments by dozing off, right?
Add some extra excitement
Give watching the game at home an extra spin by doing some wagering. Set up a wager with friends on the score, who will be MVP or any other element you want. It does not have to be about money. Maybe bet a free dinner or a bottle of your favorite Whiskey. A wager gives watching at home a nice competitive and interactive feel.
Try these out for the next big game and see how you feel. You may even decide that watching at home is better than going to the stadium.
